So, I’ve decided to do a digital drawing of Lady Loki. It will be a rather long process, given I don’t have many resources. She will obviously differ from Marvel’s Lady Loki.
Since I lacked any body forms or mannikins, I decided to actually use a picture of myself and alter parts of it. The black lines show where a photograph used to be that I went over to get the basic shapes. The left arm is very wonky, I’ll admit, but this is only a guideline. Also, I realize that the left hand is dark - I forgot to move up a layer when doing the lines, and didn’t want to erase what I had already done along with the color of my hand, so I left it. You’ll also see I began work on the staff, which will mimic Loki’s.
The red lines show the Helmet, which you’ll recognize as being Loki’s from Thor. I will admit to using a picture from Google and outlining it, but again, more as reference than anything.
The green outline is for her hair. I figured I wanted to base her slightly off of myself, and I’ve been very fond of having my hair braided lately. The original Marvel character had long hair that billowed loosely around her face, however, Marvel’s Lady Loki didn’t have a helmet, more of a diadem with horns. Given that I went for the helmet, I decided to just give her a long, thick braid that goes over her shoulder.
Tonight I will start work on lineart for the facial features, clothing, and finish the braid outline. Hopefully she’ll come out like I want her to.
