Went puppy-picking today! And this is the cute little girl we decided on.
She’s an absolute darling. As soon as we were introduced to the puppies, we saw her, sitting in the back. Our eyes met and she gave me a look. The look. At the same time my mom and I went to grab for her. And she was the only female black puppy that was unpicked.
We scooped her up, and she was such a little snugglebutt. She sat on shoulders, not bothered when she was transferred between me and my mom, not upset that my mom was looking at  her (checking teeth, rubbing her belly to see if she’d bite, that sort of thing). She wiggled around and did whimper to let us know she needed to go to the bathroom - she’s already very far into her litter training. She’s slightly smaller than the others, but healthy and happy. She was both calm and playful, which was great. We also got to meet her parents, who were very sweet, friendly dogs.
Also, the breeder is an amazing woman. She’s very nice and intelligent, loves her dogs like her children, and clearly knows what she’s doing. She’s experienced and the facility is wonderful - clean, warm, plenty of space, healthy… everything you want.

Before we left she was given a collar that will identify her from the others. She’ll be ready to pick up and come home in exactly two weeks. By then she’ll have her shots and everything, and her mom will be ready to let them go off on their own.
I absolutely cannot wait to bring her home. She’s going to have a great time here. <3
(We haven’t decided on a name yet. I’m really leaning towards Emma, Evelyn, Ebony, or Eliza. Some little voice is telling me that one of those needs to be her name.)
